April will be an intensely financial month, and you already began to feel the start of this trend a few days before April dawned, on March 27, when you saw the appearance of the new moon in Aries, 8 degrees. That new moon coaxed you to think about all kinds of funds you might need to fulfill a dream, but also money you might need to fulfill an obligation. Your eighth house was, and still is, lit up, and that house rules such funding as a mortgage, grant, college, financial aid package or scholarship, insurance payout, royalties, child support to be sent, and a court settlement that might benefit you. Additionally, you might want to review your health insurance policies, or ask your accountant about legal deductions you can take on your tax return. These types of meditations were coming up. In the process, you might think about various ways the ways you can increase your income and to keep more of what you earn.

If the new moon of last month had you thinking about other people’s money, the full moon of April 10 will switch your attention to your personal salary and earned income. You may be thinking about your monthly recurring expenses too, and may be able to find ones you don’t need or enjoy anymore, and can delete. The full moon arrives in majestic form, with the dignified benefic planet, Jupiter, at her arm. This suggests you may receive quite a VERY generous sum of money, cash advance, or a generous cash gift.

The problem with this full moon April 10 is that Uranus, moving in your eighth house of other people’s money directly across the sky, will oppose that gentle full moon at 180 degrees. Although you will likely be rocked when you hear this sudden financial news that Uranus will bring, keep in mind that all the while, Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will be protecting your income. You may have to write a check near April 11, but even so, you will likely soon see a significant amount of money will flow to you. If you try to anticipate what Uranus might bring up, you won’t be able to do so – Uranus always brings something out of left field, and it is always something else that you had not considered. At first you will be shaken, but after a few hours, or a day or two, you will be able to find possible remedies.

The good part about a full moon is that it reaches fullness, delivers news, and then the topic disappears within four days. You will need to take care of whatever comes up rather quickly and then, afterward, you can move on to other things.

Your career will star to bring beautiful fireworks soon, once Mars enters your tenth house of fame and honors for the first time in two years on April 21, to stay until June 4. In the middle of this bright period, you will have the best new moon of the year to make a professional victory. It will be your best chance of all of 2017, and that superb new moon will arrive next month on May 25. Writing, editing, proofing, and research will all be glittering for you.

As you see, you have time to get ready by writing your resume or your bio, and preparing your portfolio or reel if you are artistic. By time you reach that lovely new moon on May 25, Venus will be strong again, and so will Mercury, and it will be all systems go for your career.

There is indication that you might want to travel at some point in April. Certainly you will have plenty of cosmic support to pack and go. Mars will light your long-distance travel house, a place Mars took up on March 9 and is still set to visit until April 21. Last month was not the best time for you to travel, or to see progress in other for ninth house activities, specifically in international relationships, publishing or broadcasting projects, in terms of seeing advancement on news from academia, or for legal activities. Venus rules your ninth house sector and was weak, so even though Mars was tearing through that eighth house ruling these financial matters, and moving at good speed, Venus was tugging you back, so it was like walking through glue.

Planets that orbit closest to earth are the ones that we feel the most when retrograde, including Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Mars is fine, but Mercury, your ruler, will retrograde this month too, from April 9 to May 3. Half of that time Mars will be in your ninth house, the area of the chart that you will be so centered on, which includes travel. If you had problems getting arrangements done for a business trip or to settle on a vacation trip you want to take soon, Venus was causing the obstacles. While Mercury is retrograde, you must not sign a contract because conditions are rapidly changing. Do not buy an electronic gadget or a car, for anything with gears or moving parts, or are electronic in nature, are all ruled by Mercury, and Mercury will be weak at this time.

Things will be much better by month’s end when you will have a gorgeous earth-sign new moon in Taurus, 7 degrees, on April 26. If you do travel, consider a lush mountainous setting with many wild flowers.

Once a planet moves ahead after having been retrograde, planets need a little ramp up time to return to former strength. You won’t have to wait until you get to the date they finally both turn full-on strength again unless you have something of earth-shattering importance on your agenda, such as to buy a house or launch a new product, as two examples. Venus will reach full strength on May 18 and Mercury, May 20.

Things will be much better by month’s end when you will have a gorgeous earth-sign new moon in Taurus, 6 degrees, April 26. If you do travel, consider a lush mountainous area with many wild flowers. (Wild flowers are ruled by Virgo.)

That new moon will remedy all the areas ruled by the ninth house that I listed above that might have given you problems. It appears you will be able to travel at this point, at long last, and it may be travel for business – it seems so. Neptune will inspire you at this time, so it’ll be a superb time to talk about creative projects and the arts. Saturn will lend an air of welcome stability.

If you have a birthday that falls within four days of August 30, you will benefit the most from this full moon. The same is true if you have Virgo rising at 7 degrees (plus or minus five degrees) or a natal planet in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces at 7 degrees plus or minus five degrees.

Romantically, Venus may naturally rule your solar ninth house of travel, but this month Venus will be found traveling through your relationship sector almost all month, until April 28. You should find your relationship goes far smoother in the second half than it has been in March or early April. If you are attached, you will have the edge over single Virgos. If you are single, late June and July should be your best time for meeting someone new and intriguing.

You are under superb aspects for generating money, but money matters nevertheless seem to be causing stress. The new moon that appeared late last month on March 27 put a focus on bank loans, mortgage, court settlements, child support, and division of property in divorce, court settlements, taxes, insurance, commission, and other such funds. Although you should do well financially, Uranus will act up and bring to the surface hidden information that needs to be discussed and sorted out before you can move forward. Your love life may have brought up differences in opinion about money with a romantic or business partner. This disagreement may have to do with a question involving a child or a creative project. These types of matters could dominate first part of April for you.

On April 11, the full moon will mark a time when you have to decide what to do about financial negotiations or questions that have been consuming your attention. You will be pressured to sign your name on a contract, or to simply make a verbal agreement – don’t. In astrology, a verbal agreement is considered the same as a written one. It’s too soon to make up your mind or to know which changes you need in that contract.

Venus will be retrograde at the time, a continued trend from March 4, and will turn direct April 15. Venus rules your second house of earned income, but with Venus asleep, she won’t be in a position to help you. Still, no planet turns to full power instantly; Venus will be lackadaisical and not fully up to speed until May 18. This suggests that at the full moon, you may change your mind about a certain plan or course of action you had been thinking about over the past three months.

Underscoring this trend of uncertainty is that Mercury will be retrograde from April 9 to May 3. Mercury is your ruler, and the planet of communication, negotiation, and perception, so things will be a bit “off” this month in those areas. Fortunately, as a Virgo, you are flexible and also a deep and critical thinker, traits that will serve you well at the full moon.

Long-distance travel may be coming up, or, alternatively, you may have to focus your attention on your aim to get a university education, advance a project involving the media, or think about a legal matter. Travel seems the most likely area to light up. Mars will energize this area of your chart by moving through your ninth house, and so Mars will give you the option to pack and go. Considering the tensions concerning money that may come up earlier in April, being in a new setting for a while later will free you to enjoy life and regain your sense of balance.

The new moon in Taurus, April 26, will be your friend, for it will rally lyrical Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto – a trio that can add stability, more fun, and a closer rapport with your partner. At the same time, Venus will tour your relationship house, smoothing the way to meaningful discussion that can lead to a feeling of understanding between you and your partner, whether you are united in a love or business relationship. For sure, the end of April will be your favorite, and with Mercury about to turn direct May 3, you will see the pace pick up and projects will start to move at a fast clip.

Backtracking to April 21 for a moment, your career will light up brilliantly once Mars enters Gemini on this date, to stay until June 3. This period will help you lay the groundwork for a big career opportunity to come up after the new moon next month, May 25. To make the most of it, prepare by reorganizing your CV and if you are creative, putting your newest completed work in your show-and-tell portfolio. Time spent now getting ready for a big leap forward in your career at the end of May and early June will likely help you get not only one, but two offers.
