Managing your finances might consume you in the first half of March, but you might have a joyous reason to focus so intently on money. The recent eclipse of February 26 in Pisces 8 degrees last month lit your eighth house of other people’s money. A solar eclipse is always a new moon – indeed, a new moon on steroids, much stronger than any typical new moon – and so this solar event may have brought you news that a large sum of money is on the way to you.

Keep in mind that solar eclipses have a long sphere of influence, and can affect you for six months or longer, so if you have not received any news about money last month, watch the end of March, for in about twenty percent of the time, an eclipse will deliver its news one month to the day later, plus or minus five days.

That eclipse was favorable, but I will admit with Neptune hovering, you need to look at the fine print of any contract you might be asked to sign. Neptune can cloud clauses, or an important matter may not have been addressed at all, which can become eventually just as troublesome. Still, Neptune has its very positive side, for Neptune rules artistic expression. Many Leos work as artists, designers, playwrights, actors, stylists, lighting directors, musicians, writers, and in other artistic fields, especially ones having to do with entertainment.

The emphasis on money will continue and finish at the full moon in Virgo, 22 degrees on March 12. This full moon will help you finalize a financial agreement within five days of the date it appears, or you may be buying something expensive. You are likely to be sending out checks to play bills too. Full moons give us the energy and interest to meet deadlines and press forward on plans.

It is very possible you may be negotiating a salary this month and may finalize an agreed-upon amount, for your career will sparkle with news and opportunity. This will happen as soon as energetic Mars enters your tenth house of fame and honors on March 9 to stay until April 21. This is the first time in two years that you’ve had the courageous, enterprising, and daring planet Mars in this professional area of your chart, and you will notice the help Mars will give you now.

This month, you may have one career setback when Venus goes retrograde, March 4 to April 15. I am sorry to have to report that to you – this might happen because Venus is the natural ruler of your tenth house of fame and honors. (Always read for your rising sign too, if you know it, for you will get more information.) The time this news is likely to strike in the days surrounding March 4. It’s a time to rethink your strategy and decide how you want to proceed. The words “not now” or “not this job” do not mean “never.” Those who try and try again eventually succeed. The fact that Mars is now about to enter your tenth house of career advancement is a big plus, for you won’t take “no” for an answer, nor should you!

You might face a lot of delays, but if you do, it would be temporary. I might as well drop the other shoe. Mercury is about to retrograde too, from April 9 to May3, not a time to give verbal or written agreements. I feel you might get offers from a person or company from your past, even though it may have been a long time since you both spoke. Distant shores beckon, and you may just become impulsive enough to pack and go. The trip seems to be for business, but no matter, you will still have fun. This new moon will be in hard angle to Saturn in your house of true love, so the reason that may stop you from going is 1) an inability of your sweetheart to come with you. (This is a fifth house matter, so this would not affect you if you are married. The fifth house points to new love, not established love.) Or it may be that 2) you have too much work at the office, or that 3) you have obligations to your children, or a parent, and need to stay home to care for those you love so dearly.

No matter, there are other ways you can use this new moon that will do its best to favor you. The ninth house, so lit up, will allow you to take a journey of the mind. You might want to sign up for a lecture or go to a book signing on a topic interesting to you. If you are applying to colleges or graduate school, this new moon will help you make progress. You will be receiving your letters after this new moon, March 27. Or, if you are in a court dispute, stay optimistic. This new moon is on your side, so you should be happy with at least one letter that comes to you. (I cannot see your entire chart from where I sit, but I do feel you have some supportive planets in late March, so I became brave and wanted to tell you.)

If you are interested in publishing or broadcasting, you will do well with this same new moon. You may get a sudden assignment, so be ready! If you are in a court case or are negotiating a point of dispute, the courts are likely to favor you in late March, and news should come after this new moon arrives on March 27. If you have been concerned about an immigration matter, whether about visa, green card, passport, or citizenship, the end of the month is the time to strike.

In terms of romance, you will do best after the Sun moves into fire sign Aries on March 20.

The hardest day will be March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, when the Sun, your ruler, and Saturn, planet of obligations, clash. This won’t be a day when you find it easy to see one another, and if you do manage to do so, certain duties you have to complete elsewhere seem to weigh on your mind. On the plus side, you have Venus in Aries – albeit retrograde – but in a good place for you nevertheless, all month. As you see, Saturn won’t totally throw the kibosh on your love life – there is hope!

Venus will continue to be in this ideal place for you until June 6, and because Venus will go direct April 15 and resume full strength by May 18, you will have several sparkling weeks to look forward to in May and early June.

By May 3, Mars will be in Gemini, and Venus will be getting stronger with each passing day. Within that period, May 18 to June 4 will be your very best, as Mars will still be in air-sign Gemini, a sterling place for Mars to be, for it will light your house of fun, friends, and events. Venus will cooperate by remaining in fellow fire sign Aries. Air signs like Gemini will always make fire signs (Leo, Aries) burn more brightly, so you have a dazzling time for love coming up over the horizon very soon!
