March could become a month of welcome change for you. The solar eclipse of February 26 last month brought light to the area of your chart ruling workaday projects. If you are looking for part-time work, or a side job, that eclipse would make that possible. With a bit of effort, you will be able to find options you like. If you are self-employed, that eclipse would assist your efforts to bring in more business. An eclipse is a very powerful event in astrology. Typically, we get four per year, and in February we had two – February 11 and 26, and two more are due in August. Eclipses are influential for six months for more, and overall they work to set up the major themes of the year.
As you begin March, you have Neptune, Mercury, Sun, and new moon eclipse in the sixth house, so that suggests that you may now be offered an assignment that allows you to put much of your own creativity into it, and that is the very best kind of assignment ever to receive. Your services should be in demand, and you seem to like the interaction with the team and co-workers.
The same solar eclipse that just arrived February 26 may have a positive effect on your health, too, for your solar sixth house where the eclipse lit last month also rules preventive measures you take to become your healthiest version of you. That was a new moon eclipse (all solar eclipses are new moons), and so as you begin March, you will have a sterling chance to begin now on a new fitness program or to take lessons in a sport you love or would like to investigate. Venus is now in Aries in your partnership house, so you may be reconsidering a romantic or business alliance you want to form. If you feel a relationship has been galloping along too quickly, you can now slow it down. If you feel there are subjects that still need to be discussed before committing, Venus will give you the perfect time to do so.
If you were about to get engaged but are not sure you are ready, you can put in a delay. Or, in the business sense, if you feel you have not talked enough about the details of your arrangement, you can delay the formal signing.
I am in favor of you going slowly, because Mercury is about to retrograde too, from April 9 to May 3, and after, it will take Mercury until May 20 to regulate its orbit. Mercury retrograde is no time to sign papers or to etch plans in stone. All signs are pointing to the best time to sign is after May 20, considering your ruler, Venus, will be back to full strength on May 18.
Venus rules beauty and attractiveness, so you must not have any plastic surgery while Venus is out of phase. Skip any new and untested dermatological treatments, Botox injections, or fillers. If you were eager to try a new line of expensive moisturizers and serums, do it later, at the end of May. Change your hair color dramatically in late May, not now. No going from blonde to brunette, or changing your hairstyle completely, say from long to short, or from very short to long using extensions. You may not like the results. Hold off on buying new sunglasses – those change your face too. I know Venus retrograde can be distressing news, but it’s a sign you need to rethink what you are doing.
Now let’s talk about your closest committed partnership, which might be with your spouse, or with a significant other you’ve lived with a long time and consider the relationship exclusive and very established. You are about to be very focused on this person, who apparently has meant a lot to you. Some zodiac signs, unlike yours, are happier single and untethered, but not you. As a Libra, you are very partnership-oriented, and happiest when coupled up in a solid secure, faithful relationship. Now, on March 27, the new moon will put a spotlight on a new alliance you would like to commit to, or if you are in a present alliance, with the aim to change it or leave it. (Uranus first entered your relationship sector in March 2011, and is finally set to leave for good in March 2019, not to return in your lifetime. Late last month, it occurred to me that you might have been a little bored, and just to shake things up, you may have said something or done something to get a spark out of your partner. Some couples love to have something to debate. This may not describe you at all, but it did occur to me while I studied your chart.
With active Mars leaving your seventh house or marriage and partnership on March 9, you see the relationship calm down. The exception is now with Mars moving into Taurus and your house of other people’s money, if you are closing a business with a partner or are in the process of a divorce, the coming weeks may become contentious about the fair splitting of assets. Or, it may be that you are happily married but not quite agreeing on how to spend certain funds. Mars will remain in your eighth house of other people’s money.
There is no doubt that your costs will go up when Mars enters your eighth house. Thinking about the possibilities that the recent February 26 solar eclipse brought up for work, the high level of spending you might have planned or need to do in the coming six weeks – the option to do a side job or to generate more business if you are self-employed might come in handy. Of course, you may be doing something you have saved up to do, like buy a house or condo, or make repairs, and you have already put aside the money you will need.
The eighth house rules inheritance, insurance, bonus, commission, child support, taxes, credit, student loans, and recurring expenses, such as for your Internet or cell phone provider. While you host Mars in this house, you may be motivated to gather your receipts and send them to your accountant.

Any plans having to do with funding or money management will also be up for reconsideration.
Retrograde planets give us time to go back and fix things that went wrong, or that we feel should be adjusted due to current conditions. If you are in the middle of a breakup in love or business, the negotiation of the settlement may reach a temporary impasse during this period. Venus retrograde will ask you to reconsider your stance, as well as your decisions and impending moves. Get advice, and reflect quietly – don’t rush. This is not a time to give a big expensive party or charity fundraiser, and if considering engagement, wait if you can.
Do not make any radical moves involving your appearance in March or April either. While you will still be able to take care of routine grooming, such as touchups and trims, avoid going from blonde to redhead, for example, and put off plastic surgery and new types of skin treatments. Venus will go direct April 15, but will take until May 18 to reach former strength. Keep in mind that Venus is your ruler, so the meetings and greetings of Venus to other planets that occur every month will always affect you more than most.
