Life is brightening, dear Scorpio, especially in matters of love and fun, and you won’t have to wait long to see proof that Cupid is about to work hard for you. Just a few days prior to the start of March, a solar eclipse arrived in Pisces, 8 degrees, on February 26. That new moon solar eclipse may have triggered the start of a romance if you are single, but if not yet, an eclipse has a very long period of influence, so be patient. Between now and the end of August, you may meet someone. If you do, this romantic alliance won’t be just any old relationship but something special, because it will be triggered by an eclipse. Eclipses have gravitas, and they bring life events that you long remember. Solar eclipses help us build the very foundations of our lives by bringing in new elements to keep us moving forward. If you are looking for lasting love, the stars are twinkling for you.

There is one little blinking light associated with the February 26 eclipse that I should mention. The February 26 eclipse that will influence you for six months or more and that lit your house of new love came conjunct Neptune, a highly glamourous aspect. Neptune can obscure detail and can make you so happy that you fall into a dream state of breathless affection. Don’t get carried away – before you get deeply involved with anyone in future weeks or months, go slowly and get to know your partner well. Neptune rules the silver screen, so you might feel like your love life has been lifted out of normal life and into a movie script. It might be that good, but in case you are embellishing the object of your affections with all kinds of qualities that person does not quite deserve, go slowly.

If your birthday falls on or within five days of October 26, you are very likely to see a development, and you should be over-the-moon happy. If you are married or attached, you may be discussing a new baby soon, or something special you want to do to take special care for a child you have now. Or, a new baby will enter the family – it could be that your sister gives birth, or your brother announces your sister-in-law is pregnant – and if so, this baby will bring you heights of joy that you’ve rarely experienced because it will be brought to you by this friendly eclipse.

This same eclipse may bring you an exciting creative project, and if so, this month would bring its start. The same solar fifth house that rules new love, pregnancy, and care for children also rules your creative efforts. The planets twinkling in this part of your chart shows that with a little effort, you can turn yourself into quite an idea factory, so spend time alone to brainstorm, and write down those ideas, lest you forget one. The world spins on new ideas – it is what drives us all and brings civilization to new levels in every category you can list. The universe is listening, dear Scorpio!

Eclipses are among the most powerful possible astrological event. When I start to decide on how a year ahead will be, I first check the eclipses. There were two eclipses in February and there will be two more in August this year, and having four eclipses is typical. What is not typical is how friendly ALL the eclipses of 2017 will be for all of us. I can’t see your unique chart from where I sit, but I can see that the planets at eclipse time will be generally very positive.

All eclipses require an adjustment from you, for even new things change the dynamics of your life. An example would be the arrival of a new baby or capturing a new job – you need to adjust, but joyfully! After the dust settles, you will see that you like your new life much better than your old life. You might not have had the courage to give up the elements of your life that were taken out with the tides of the eclipses, but you will soon see the wisdom of the universe.

Unlike typical new moons, eclipses can affect you later, so the first point to look is one month to the day later – that would be this month, March 11 and March 26 – plus or minus five days. In 10 percent of the time, eclipses can deliver their news one month to the day earlier, in this case the January 12 full moon would have brought news. If you don’t see any important news, either very good or jarring, then it might happen in coming months. Don’t be too quick to judge an event bad. Eclipses bring sudden news, and sometimes need to open your basket by deleting an element in your life to give you something new and better for you.

The strong social theme of the night will be further emphasized at the full moon, March 12 in Virgo 22 degrees – allow a plus or minus five days of influence. It looks like you may be attending an event populated by many friends or friendly people. It may be a wedding, birthday party, or celebration for a friend’s promotion or award, or you may give a speech to people who know your work and want to hear your opinions on your topic of expertise. You may attend a sporting event, or a trade show, or a conference or series of seminars.

There is one drawback to this full moon in Virgo, 22 degrees, and that is that things may be expensive at this time. Saturn will be in tough angle to this full moon, so the money you would need to spend to participate might give you pause. Only you can decide if you can afford to attend an event that seems to call out to you in mid-March. Your work and future course seems to be tied to this event mid-month, so it may be worth considering.

During April and May, for you, dear Scorpio, two heads will be better than one when making decisions.

If you have a birthday that falls on November 14, plus or minus five days, you will feel the effects of the March 12 eclipse the most. The same is true if you have Scorpio rising or the natal moon in Scorpio at 22 degrees (plus or minus five degrees), or a natal planet in Scorpio, Cancer, or Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn. In any of these instances you will feel this full moon, so note on your calendar what occurred. With feedback, you can see how the patterns form in your life.

Another way this might work out is that you may have hoped to join a club that you feel would be helpful to your profession or social life, but the cost of membership may be making you think twice about writing the check. You are nearing the end of a long visit of Saturn, the planet that limits and contains, to your house of earned income. By December you will be free of Saturn’s Spartan methods, and getting generous compensation won’t be as difficult to negotiate in the future.

Saturn has been showing you the value of money, but admittedly, he does have a tough love way of sending lessons. If you tried to change jobs, you likely encountered the same type of situation – prospective employers couldn’t or wouldn’t meet your salary requirements. This will change by December 19, 2017, when Saturn will move on to another sign and house of your horoscope, not to return in your salary and personal savings until 2044.

It may be helpful to know that when Saturn eventually returns, the experience will be easier, for theoretically you have already learned most of all that Saturn hoped to teach during his first visit to this part of your chart. There will be quite a bit of emphasis on a partner this month, either someone you love and are married to or in an established long-term relationship with. Or, it might be with a business person with whom you are collaborating or associated with, such as with a manager, agent, business partner, writing partner, or publicist, as a few examples. Or, you may be working on a joint venture with another company where your company and the other company would both benefit.

The reason for your focus on coupling up in a partnership will be due to the arrival of Mars in Taurus on March 9 to stay until April 21. This is a highly cooperative trend, and as a Scorpio, you usually like to take the reins and be in full control. During the coming six weeks that won’t be possible, but you will find it to be a relief not to be expected to handle everything yourself, and that the weight on your shoulders will be shared by others. Listen to others’ opinions without waving them off. This month, the ideas of the team have value, perhaps after giving them a new, modern twist to turn it into something quite brilliant. At times, you won’t get things completely your way, but as you get to mid-year, all that changes and you will regain power – possibly because everything you predicted would happen, did, and now they know they need you more than ever. In April and May, for you, dear Scorpio, two heads will be better than one.

Things are a bit complicated because Venus will go retrograde this month from March 4 to April 15, and Venus governs your plans to marry and all serious business partnerships. (Why? You have Taurus, ruled by Venus, on the cusp of your solar seventh house of all contractual relationships, which include marriage.) Venus retrograde is a weak Venus, so I would prefer that you not sign papers to create a partnership for your business or to get engaged this month or next. Actually, it will take Venus until May 18 to return to full power.

Venus rules love, but it also rules profits and prosperity (along with Jupiter), and Venus also has special emphasis on business enterprises that cater to women. (Mars caters to men, but Mars is in fine shape and moving at a fast clip.) This is why I would rather you hold off on forming any new partnerships in love or business until things regulate in May.

Venus also rules love and beauty, so in March and April, put off all plastic surgery, Botox treatments, and injections of fillers, as well as experimental dermatological treatments. You should not cut your hair short (if it is long) or buy extensions – wait until May. You CAN have trims and go about doing your regular grooming, of course, but do not do anything that would dramatically change your looks, because you may not like the results later.

All planets go retrograde. (Not included is the Sun and moon, which never retrograde, but those are not planets). The retrograde planets you feel directly are those that orbit close to earth: Venus, Mercury, and Mars. Mars is in fine shape now, but Venus is out of phase, and here is where I drop the other shoe: Mercury is about to retrograde too, from April 9 to May 3. March and April are made for going back to reexamine things, and to see if you want to make any changes or adjustments. Venus won’t resume former power until May 18, and Mercury won’t ramp up to full power until May 20. After this, the rest of the year should be very productive, but I want you to be careful this month and next.

Your work life will become very active in the last week of the month once you get to the new moon, March 27. The assignment is likely to allow you to pioneer into new territory, for you have Venus, Uranus, Mercury, Sun, and new moon in Aries (8 degrees), and Aries is the sign of all new business entrepreneurial enterprise. You seem to be very busy. Saturn will be in hard angle to the Sun, so you may grumble that they are simply not paying you enough to do this much work. Keep to the program, for all this will even out by next year.

At the same time, Pluto will be in hard angle to Uranus and Mercury, so read the fine print if asked to sign an agreement – the terms appear to be stiff. Still, the actual work seems be exciting and could give you experience that will be very useful in the future, so you might agree to those terms anyway. The point is, know what you are agreeing the in the contract. I can’t see everything from where I sit, so the fact that pushy Pluto could press on you, I want you to go slowly. You are going into a very busy phase that will last a while, through April.

This new moon will be perfect for entering a competitive race or athletic event. With so many planets in Aries, your passion to win will be strong. It’s an ideal time to recommit to health and fitness goals, to eat more sensibly, and to get on the right track to looking sleek and toned. Exercise tends to help lower stress. It looks like the relaxing side effect of sports and working out will come in handy, especially at month’s end.

March looks to turn out to be an exciting month for romance. As the month opens, you have no less than four heavenly bodies in your fifth house of true love: Neptune (glamour), Mercury (news, travel), the Sun (authority), and new moon (opportunity). Remarkably, the new moon solar eclipse happened just a few days before the start of March, on February 26, and is working hard to bring all kinds of sizzling romantic experiences to you. Neptune will be orbiting close to the solar eclipse, a highly glamorous vibration, so do your best to keep your feet on the ground, for it would be all too easy to get carried away with this breathless vibration.

Solar eclipses usually open a powerful new path, and this one will not only bring chances to find your one true love, but bring more fun to Scorpios of all marital statuses. The eclipse may now spark talks about having a new baby or finding a way to care for a child you have now. For example, you might want to get that child special music lessons or send in a deposit for camp if he is old enough to go.

If you are in a creative field, or take your own personal creativity seriously, a project is likely to blossom. If you are an October-born Scorpio, this month will be especially strong, with the possibility of becoming quite enchanting. All Scorpios are favored, however, and the actions you take in the first week of March will set the pace for months to come. If you are single, be sure to circulate.

Your social life will remain bright straight through the full moon period, March 12, plus five days. (In particular, weekend of March 11-12 might be very special for fun with friends.) It looks like you will be attending an event surrounded by many happy people. It may be a spiritual retreat, party, wedding, charity benefit, sporting event, trade show, conference, or other event that would draw many people happily together. Saturn will be at hard angle, so you may be concerned about the money you will spend to attend this event – it does seem to require a considerable sum. There is some indication that your reputation or career growth will be encouraged, thanks to the support of Pluto, so it may be worth spending the money anyway if you can make this event happen.

Mars will begin to tour your seventh house of marriage, so if you have been dating seriously, you may be thinking of getting engaged soon. If so, delay that action until the end of May. The reason is that Venus will be retrograde from March 4 to April 15, considered a poor time to make romantic plans for the future. Affection is thought to be weak during a Venus retrograde for the term of the relationship, lessening the amount of warmth and affection in the union. If the partnership is for business, Venus rules profits too, so it would be best to hold off. Ideally, wait until Venus makes it back to full strength, May 18.
