Along with the pre-retrograde increased miscommunication you have an opposition in your communications house on Friday suggesting that the lead into the weekend could be quite fraught. Look out for possible trouble in the areas of foreign connections, the law and education. 
Put it this way, any form of commutation can be enormously frustrating, and combined with the Mercury retrograde influence, there can also be constant delays and obstacles to your progress. Others will appear to be intimidating or hostile, and so expect some power plays. 
At times leading into the weekend you may feel a tad insecure and frustrated by the control position of another (or else their perceived power). Underlying some of this tension is a money or property related concern and questions of “who gets what and how much”. 
Obviously this is not the ideal time to negotiate contracts, but that said, there should be a very pleasing discussion or offer early next week; or else a family based decision that benefits your kin enormously. 
Juno (relationships) conjuncts Jupiter (love, fun, children) on Sunday so you may fall in love, get “a ring, become pregnant, or simply have one of the best days in decades. 
The new moon in Taurus will usher in a new era of inner peace and greater self worth…oh and more money/financial security.

Expect to get a tad obsessed about money this week, bills, taxes, overcharging - not enough or at worst a sense of being cheated - and just like in Sing a song of Sixpence, you do seem to be in your counting house counting out your money. 
That’s probably because money is going out (and not a lot is coming in) and you’re doing the sums and either coming up short or being very cautious. 
Some Bulls are in the process of a house, flat or country move (Pluto is suggesting for many “overseas” and “foreign”) and Jupiter just wants you to find your “base” before August. 
Jupiter and Juno will be exactly conjunct on May 17 in Leo for the first time in many years so that’s quite something. Therefore there will be noteworthy events (as a result of this significant energy) that will occur throughout May and into June particularly for Taurus, (and Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). 
Juno is the asteroid of relationships and partnerships of all types so this is a major redefining period for home and family relationships of all types with Jupiter providing the expansion (and hopefully good fortune). 
So whatever you have set in train (since mid December) will start to “roll out” and that is either to reduce your expenditure or improve your resources - or both – and that in some way relates to either your home or family. 
However for the next few weeks there is not a lot of wiggle room thanks to Mars, and so there will still be a trade off as to what you can do versus what is being asked (or demanded) or waited upon. 
But your home, family and real estate priorities are changing and you are giving a new and improved form and structure to the way you manage your resources for the long term. 
There is a New Moon in Taurus on the 18th and that will help you launch a project – and one that is very “personal”.

A lot of the planetary action this week is in Gemini and especially around Friday and the weekend, so your emotions could be a tad “stirred” (or you experience some form of frustration). 
Put it this way, it may be challenging to contain your feelings and so there could be the odd outbursts or even a temper tantrum and your psychological well-being may be a shaky for a few days. You are very much a cerebral creature so when your ruler is going haywire, so will you. 
You shouldn’t fret too much as this is a time when a decisive change in a situation will occur, and most likely one with beneficial results. 
Once Mercury goes direct from mid June, any uncertainties and reservations about what “is or isn’t” going to happen will end and the new moon in Taurus on 18th will help you to find clarity (and some peace of mind). 
The conjunct between Juno and Jupiter will benefit all commercial dealings, contracts, projects and financial and personal discussions and this can manifest in different ways. 
You could find the right words to heal a rift, close some incredible deal, or put yourself “out there” (on billboards, web, a book, media etc), launch your brand, go into business with a sibling or get HD’s in an exam. 
Of course with your ruler going retrograde, plans can still go awry and so nothing is set in concrete until the post retrograde finishes at the end of June.

There appears to be the opportunity for a new start in a group activity (either in a social or professional sense) around the beginning of next week following the new moon in Taurus. 
Whereas previously your position within this group may have been a bit fraught, this now has the potential for more fruitful discussions. These will be along the lines of a “group” approach - as opposed to the “lone wolf” - as you become more in alignment (they towards you and vice versa). 
There is a very nice trine between Venus and Neptune on the 16th that suggests benefits to any foreign dealings, (that can be financial dealings with an overseas entity or a love affair with a foreigner) or else pleasing educational or legal news. 
There is also a square with Venus and your nodes in Libra (home, family, property) on the same day and this can flag some issues relating to these areas. 
Of course with the “Mercury factor” any schedules or plans will change or be revised, but you do have a highly beneficial influence the following day in your money sector and that benefit will continue until the end of June. 
The conjunct between Juno and Jupiter suggests helpful relationship mending in any areas of money (and money is generally the cause of most relationship “dramas”) and there might be an offer you can’t refuse. 
One way or another money issues from the past can be cleared up before the end of June.
You are more trusting and optimistic about life in general (and of course about your finances) and prepared to explore “outside the box” and that will include new jobs and overseas postings. However at the same time, Mars in Gemini is making you feel less effective and a bit confused about your direction (and Mercury is ensuring nothing is certain until the end of June). 
As Gemini is the sign behind yours, you could be “driving” (Mars) something from being the scenes or pouring all your energy into a private project or activity that no-one knows about – one that you are keeping secret or you don’t want others to observe. 
Mercury will bring back the past (and that includes whatever occurred in the past) but if your actions were “spot on” then this could be in your best interests…or not.

Those connections that are dysfunctional will end, or become more dynamic and fruitful (or creative if it’s a business partnership); but whatever happens, bear in mind that it’s not set in concrete until the end of June. Before then, there can be changes of heart, revisions… or it can slowly peter out like a spluttering flame. 
You will be directing a lot of energy within a professional or social group (and these may be the key areas where there are “issues”) as well as the connection with one of your children, or a person of the younger generation. 
For those in long-term relationships, there has been more of an urge to “cut and run”, and therefore the conjunct is very, very, helpful in this regard.

It’s a week of change for everyone, it’s inevitable, and for you it’s within the workplace, the status quo, any recent mistakes, delays and U turns. There is also a huge change to the way you perceive a particular situation; one to do with a key relationship that you have. 
Evidently Mercury is going to “up the ante” in terms of misunderstandings and it may feel as if no-one is at the helm and a situation is currently directionless. 
One particular mission (and it is a “mission” or a duty as opposed to a minor task) must be “pulled off”. It can be an ongoing financial drama that needs resolving, it can be an ongoing contract that needs to be completed, or a huge project that you want to launch, but Mercury is throwing in curved balls and slowing the whole process down. 
Mercury of course is your ruler so any situations that you had hoped to finalized before now, will not be resolved until at least the end of June. 
The Juno Jupiter conjunct however will help you “fix” the hidden project, or the “big secret” or whatever it is that your role has been behind the scenes. Chances are that you have been the one calling all the shots, but without making anyone away of that, rather like the puppeteer who pulls the strings (and if you are working on some big project this will be unveiled after August). 
There is a Mars and Saturn opposition on Friday and that will bring up family related topics (family reputation and image, property and long term goals) and there will be old wounds opened up as your ruler brings back past issues. 
The Juno Jupiter conjunct will make you more reflective about a key relationship (and perhaps about past choices and actions) and can bring self doubt. But it also brings wonderful opportunities to review your life and make positive changes to improve that areas that need it. 
A New Moon on the 18th will also focus on personal growth and expanding your horizons, although that can also be literal (as in travel and educational opportunities) or any activity that nourishes your mind and spirit and provides you with a greater sense of self worth.

Indeed in many ways, this area represents your future, and with the joint retrogrades of Jupiter and Juno since December; from early April when Jupiter when direct (and especially this week), groups of people hold the key to your long term goals. 
You are investing a lot of energy into your circumstances, and this probably relates to travel in some way, although it could also involve a legal matter. 
But whilst group activities and associations appear to be the opportunity for fulfilling your own goals, anything that has been discussed or agreed upon can change - and most likely will – and it will be almost impossible to implement new group plans or rely on any social commitments. 
Meanwhile try not to get too stressed out within group discussions as these can at times be a bit contentious or uncomfortable (or you may even feel like the odd one out) and this is particularly so on Friday around the time of the Mars Saturn opposition. 
A New Moon in Taurus on Monday suggests a somewhat tense and difficult few days, and a sense of being thwarted in getting what you want (and you know exactly what that is). 
This can be a need for admiration or more sex and intimacy or to do with shared money. 
But there will be some power plays with others around this time.
