A home-related situation that has been going on for a long time without revolve will reach a final stage at the full moon, October 5, in Aries 13 degrees. It appears that this area of your life, involving your physical residence, other property you might own or rent, or care for a parent or other relative, has been challenging. At first you may have tried to reach the perfect solution, but after weeks, or possibly months, of searching for that ideal you are ready to make a workable, common sense choice. If it involves a relative, that choice will still be caring and kind, sensitive to the person’s feelings.
Pluto in Capricorn will be in hard angle to the Sun and full moon of October 5, so you may be frustrated with how this home or family matter is going down. You may have to battle your spouse or other family members when you announce your plans. Your career will be extremely busy, so you may be focused on developments going on at the office, too, but at the full moon, October 5 plus four days, career matters will have to go on temporary hold while you switch your attention to your private life. You seem to be re-energized and ready to voice your thoughts despite the cacophony of voices around you. Everyone, it seems, will have an opinion.
You do have one secret ace in the cards you have been dealt. The full moon is in Aries, and Mars is the planet that rules Aries. Happily, Mars is in fellow earth sign Virgo, a splendid place for you, and so Mars’ transit of Virgo will support your views and actions.
Mars is currently in your ninth house, a lovely place it entered last month on September 5, and will continue to bring attention to matters covered by this sector. Now let’s turn to the new moon of October 19, to appear in Libra 27 degrees – it will bring different and more extreme challenges, and those will involve your career. This new moon will light your career house. If you could see the sky at this time, you would find the Sun, new moon, and Jupiter in a cozy huddle. That would normally be a fabulous time to see advancement in your career. However, this is no normal new moon. It will receive direct opposition from Uranus, the planet of sudden, lightning bolt change. Uranus will be in direct 180-degree opposition to the Sun, new moon, and Jupiter. Brace yourself for news in your career that you will not see coming and will make you tense.
The new moon will light your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, so you may be up for an important position. Certainly, Jupiter, the planet of happiness, expansion, and financial success, is there and in his final hours before moving to the next part of your chart, which I will discuss with you in a moment. Jupiter is trying to protect you near the new moon October 19 but finds himself in a battle that is strong, and possibly overwhelming.
Think back to April 11 of this year, when you had this new moon’s twin, a full moon in Libra that sent you an almost an identical vibration. That was a full moon – more emotional and requiring an instant fix – but this is a new moon, which will have a longer presence, and perhaps require you take more time and reflection to know how to deal with news you received.
Not all Capricorns will feel the direct rays of this new moon, October 19 – only those with birthdays that fall within five days of January 17. Those with earlier birthdays, say, readers with a birthday in December or that falls in the first two weeks of January, already felt these challenging rays over the past seven years. A planet can only go to 29 degrees 59 minutes, and Uranus is near the end, 27 degrees. It’s just that he moves so very slowly, taking 84 years to circle the Sun, and therefore about seven years to go through any one sign. We all feel Uranus sooner or later, but once over, you will be free and clear for 21 years.
Uranus is your current problem, but this planet’s influence will begin to start to fade from view as you get to 2018. While not completely out of the picture next year, Uranus will spend six solid months in the next sign, Taurus, an earth sign that blends beautifully with your Capricorn Sun. (The place Uranus is now, Aries, clashes harshly with your Sun.) That change will give you instant relief.
The eleventh house, where Jupiter will go on October 10, is not only the house of friendship and charity toward fellow man, but also the house of hopes and wishes. Dream big, dear Capricorn, for in the coming months, you can make that dream a reality.
By March 2019, you will be done with all this chaos that you’ve been subject to by Uranus’ antics. Everyone gets precisely the same amount of difficult challenges from Uranus as he travels around the solar system – no more, no less – so don’t feel singled out. I completely sympathize, however, dear Capricorn. Going through a bout with Uranus is never easy. These periods do tend to make you stronger, sharper, and more resilient and resourceful than ever.

It is true that by now, over recent years, all Capricorns have been uprooted and have gone through their usual share of unrest. You may have had to move house (or if self-employed, your base of operations) possibly more than once since this trend started in 2010. Your may have had some radical changes in your career as well over the past six or seven years, too. Life will settle down, and you can bank on that.

The flurry of excitement is all about Jupiter’s move into Scorpio on October 10 this month, to stay until November 8, 2018, a period of nearly thirteen months. Jupiter is the giver of gifts, happiness, prosperity and growth and his only mission is to make you happy. Since September 2016, more than a year ago, you have hosted Jupiter in your prestigious tenth house of career, and you may have taken a big step up in your professional life. Now, in a move to bring more balance to your life, Jupiter will see to it that you get out more and have more fun.
You are considered the most career driven of all signs, always hoping to see continual, strategic progress up the mountain of success. The idea of taking time off to socialize might not appeal to you, because you like to keep working. I completely understand – you don’t like the idea of wasting time. Here’s why you should take a little time off now and then – even our military has done studies about the effectiveness of giving soldiers breaks. Over the past year, you went about creating professional progress in the formal way. You did this by being at your computer, writing reports, having interviews, and giving presentations. Now that changes. What will be key to your progress is not WHAT you know, but WHO.
The new people that you meet – friends, acquaintances, and even causal contacts – will have a very stimulating effect on you. They will introduce you to new concepts and ideas, and they will also introduce you to influential people, and your circle will grow wider. You should make an effort from now on to leave the office occasionally at a decent hour. You notice I used the word occasionally – baby steps here! I am not asking for impossible changes to your routine, ha, ha. You can be quite a doubting Thomas! Consider joining a club, whether professional or purely social in nature. From now on, through early November 2018, your greatest personal growth will come through your association with others who have common interests with you. Friends will be the ones to introduce you to a romantic interest if you are hoping to find your one true love. My point is that your friends will be golden for you and on so many levels.
If you can’t think of a club you’d like to join, consider volunteering for a charity, humanitarian, or political effort – you’d meet like-minded people whose friendship you are likely to enjoy, and all the while, you will be working to make the world a better place. These types of organizations desperately need help, and the skills you learn while volunteering may be fully transferrable to your day job, giving you experience you’d never get any other way.
Friends will be helpful on all levels, for if you are hoping to buy a new house or condo, they will give you solid advice. If you need to buy an appliance at a great price and below retail, go to a friend for a tip. Is your child starting school? Friends will give you the kind of practical advice that will likely be better than the advice you get from hiring a consultant.
Watch for the luckiest day of the year, October 26, when a friend will likely go out of his or her way to help you. All the areas I have been discussing will shine for you, and you may see, firsthand, the power of Jupiter in a very noticeable way.
On the evening of October 25 or 26 (both strong days) you might want to arrange a big dinner for all your friends in a fun restaurant. Everyone can pay for their own dinner, and at the dinner, you can introduce your friends to each other, and generally catch up with ones you’ve not seen in a while. There are benefits you cannot quite imagine, dear Capricorn. If you are invited to a trade show conference, you should go, for when Jupiter is involved, profits generally follow – the advice you get will be great.
Delve into social media, and strengthen your ties with those you know and who have always supported you.
