Cancer loves home so much that your mascot, the little crab, carries his apartment on his back. Whenever life gets to be too much for the little crab, he pulls his shell over his head and withdraws from the world to enjoy peace and to regain his balance and a sense of security. You are that way, too—home is your haven against a world that can sometimes bruise us all. Your sign is the most talented at turning a home into a cozy, intimate place of comfort for family and friends to enjoy.
Holidays are when you often shine brightest, for many Cancers like you are great cooks, and you may love having family and friends in the kitchen with you to trade news and to sample foods while you are whipping up dinner. (If cooking is “not your thing,” you probably have a list of the finest food purveyors in your smartphone, and can put together a delicious dinner in no time flat by making all the right calls.) Cancer is a whiz at setting a beautiful table, too, and is always looking for new ways to delight guests. In terms of travel, thanks to Mars in Pisces, December 19 to January 28, you may want to visit family or enjoy celebrating in a new city. Or, you may plan to leave after the holidays to soak up glorious sunshine at a beautiful island resort or to go to a city you’ve not seen before that is located below the equator where it’s already summer.
The solar eclipse of February 26, 2017, may also send you packing in the weeks that follow—this time to a foreign city on the water. This might be your favorite trip of all.
The moment February begins, your career is likely to become energized with more time needed at your desk. There could be an exciting promotion in the offing. (You may be able to scoot away for a trip in the weeks that follow the eclipse, February 26, but many career possibilities could be popping up for you professionally all through February. It is also possible you will be traveling for your job after the solar eclipse arrives February 26.)
If you decide to hold off on changing jobs, more thrilling career attention may come to you again at the new moon, March 27, 2017. You may get exceptional praise or publicity for a recent victory, or you may get an offer for a new position. That new moon could easily open weeks or months of talks about a new role for you.
Mars will be in your sector career sector in February and March, possibly heating up career talks, so the new moon on March 27 might bring talks to a higher level.
On March 9, Mars will move into your sector of friendships and groups for a six-week stay, and because Mars is the planet that holds sway over of your career, it could be wise to join a professional club at that time. Work on widening your number of friends and industry contacts after March 27, 2017. A new moon appears through April 21, at which time Mars will move to another part of your chart. Socializing will likely be fun, and it could also help you rise through the ranks at work.
Mercury will go retrograde April 9 to May 3, which could impact your decision-making. The time when Mars enters Cancer, June 4 to July 20, 2017, will likely be a powerful time for you, for you will have courage, confidence, and drive.
The new moon arrives in Cancer on June 24. With the new moon in Cancer and Mars in Cancer behind you, you will likely be ready to start an entirely new and very positive chapter in any phase of your life.
The period when Mars tours Cancer, June 4 to July 20, 2017, could be the right time to start a new romantic relationship, too, and doubly so after the new moon June 24. At that time you are likely to feel deliciously attractive, easily turning heads. Cancer tends to be a shy sign, but even so, you should be quite unforgettable. Venus and Mars will be in Cancer at the same time, and it’s often hard to find Venus and Mars in the same constellation simultaneously.
