Virgo Horoscope for December 2015

You are such an industrious worker, forever interested in getting ahead. Now, however, you will have the time and motivation to push back from your computer, and focus on improving your home life, and make your space all it can be. You might say that this time of the year puts extra emphasis on home and family for almost everyone, but while that might be true, you will feel this trend much more powerfully than most.
The reason I say that is you have Saturn in your fourth house of home, and that planet's very presence there for the first time in twenty-nine years is very significant. Not since 1985-1988 has Saturn been in Sagittarius and toured your home sector, and this suggests a major transformation will gradually take place in your life.
Slow moving planets like Saturn usually have a big effect. Saturn in particular teaches how to take on more responsibility and shows us how we can become more mature. Saturn always asks for concentration, effort, and often sacrifice toward a goal. The types of goals are varied, but a common one might be to save up to buy a house or condo. The sacrifice that Saturn might ask of you (and your mate, if you have one) might be something like giving up dinners out while you build up a nest egg to have enough of a down payment to put on that piece of property. Or, you may be interested in saving up for a renovated kitchen or bath. If you are very young, you may be ready to lease your first apartment.
Saturn teaches important life lessons that we need to learn to become truly mature. If you remember 1985-1988, you have already come through the first visit of Saturn, and now you are ready for more life lessons involving home or family. Saturn's first visit is where we learn the most, so the second visit may not be as extreme, or you already know a lot. Your experience will be different in nature now.
For example, you might be overseeing the care of your mother or father, either at your house, your parent's home (f they live nearby), or at an assisted living or nursing home. These are all lessons we learn as we go through life. In your case, the "sacrifice" may your need to give up some of your time to help your beloved parent. Alternatively, if you never bought any property before, you may do so now.
This month we have a fantastic new moon, December 11, in Sagittarius at 19 degrees, that will open up a chance for you to make big progress on your home-or-family-related goal. The sweet part about this new moon is that Uranus will be beautifully oriented to it, so a solution may show up suddenly and out of left field. You will need to be on your toes to take full advantage of any news that comes up. Uranus is currently taking a long journey through your house of other people's money, so if you need a mortgage, refinancing plan for your present mortgage, or a home improvement loan, Uranus' position suggests that you will get it quickly.
Additionally, Mars will be friendly to the new moon from your other financial house (that is, your second house of earned income, for you have two financial houses), and this indicates that you may be spending a lot of money this month, but lifestyle changes do require quite a bit of funding. Mars is at a good angle to this new moon, so the money you need will appear. In fact, your family may be willing to give you the money to use as a down payment or deposit, as a loan or outright gift.
If you feel you'd rather wait to move, or solve a present home and family matter, you can, but you may run into difficulties if you do. You need a full moon in your home sector, and you will have not one but two, on May 21, 2016, and then a month later, the second one, June 20, 2016. (We rarely have two full moons in a row in the same sign, in this case Sagittarius, the sign that will light your home sector.)
Of the two coming dates six months from now, both will be problematic. Your ruler, Mercury, will be retrograde in May, along with four other sluggish retrograde planets, so you will find the going slow, and you will likely be frustrated with the pace of the progress (if you make any at all). It is also possible that as you go along and more facts are revealed, you may change your mind about buying or renting the property.
On June 20, the second full moon in Sagittarius will come by, but in June we will have a Grand Mutable Cross of planets, all working at cross-purposes. That means lots of obstacles will likely come up. The way you will deal best with a grand mutable cross is to talk your way out of the difficulties, through negotiation and debate. Thankfully, mutable signs are flexible, communicative signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces) and do not stay fixed on one point - there will be a spirit of flexibility in the air.
I should take a moment to define terms for you. A mutable cross of planets is when you have at least four planets, each almost precisely 90 degrees from the other, forming a box pattern. In that formation, you have two 180-degree oppositions and four 90-degree square aspects. In that box the energy is contained and bounces against the walls as well as the ceiling and floor - all over the box - trying to find a way out.
As you might have guessed, tension-producing, as there is no easy escape - it takes patience, in this case to talk your way out. This is considered a harsh aspect, but it is nothing like the cardinal crosses that we have had in recent years (the worst) or a Fixed Cross where nothing moves. Both of those crosses are much harder to fix. (Steve Jobs, a Pisces, was born with a cardinal cross in his chart, and looking at his life you see the high energy of the planets in cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn), and the frustration and at times, injustice he had to endure, all signatures of the cardinal cross pattern too.)
Going back to your situation, Mars, the energy planet, will be retrograde in both May and June, which is very unfortunate, for Mars is the one planet in charge of getting things moving forward. Mars also holds sway over your solar eighth house of other people's money - money you may need as a loan or mortgage.
For better aspects, you would have to wait for the next new moon, November 29, 2016. At that time, I am concerned that Jupiter and Uranus will be at loggerheads, which could cost you by bring unanticipated expenses. By November's new moon (2016) you would have to ask lots of questions and have a very thorough estimator assess the value of the house or condo you are interested in buying or leasing to lower the possibly of being taken by surprise by extra costs that will needed to be covered.
This month's new moon of December 11 is truly special. If you like, you can make small changes, such as to buy a handsome piece of furniture, a new mattress, or a new supply of bedroom linens or tableware. If you want to rent a cottage for next summer, or for the ski season, this new moon would be the time to do it. Think about your present home and family situation and find ways to use this new moon to your advantage, even if the steps you take are baby steps.
Earlier in the month, we have several important dates. On December 5-6, if you will be house hunting or browsing home-related shops, you may find interesting options. Mars, the high energy planet, will send a positive beam to the mighty Sun, now based in your home sector. It is also possible that you will find a bargain for something you dearly want.
If you need money to fund your lifestyle change, December 8 will bring you the ideal day to apply for money from a bank, or better yet, from your parents, who may want to help you with a down payment or a deposit for your purchase of your house, or as a deposit on your lease. You have very strong family support these days, dear Virgo, so don't be too shy to ask.
You have one very tough day for money on December 10, when Mars in your salary and savings sector will oppose Uranus in your eighth house of loans and credit. Do not look for funding for any purpose on this day, not for home, and not for a new business startup. It will be nobody's favorite day.
While we are on the discussion of tough days, there is only one more - actually a weekend, December 19-20 - when I will recommend that you not travel. Your ruler, Mercury, and planet governing travel will be at very hard angle to Uranus. Travel is likely to be unpredictable and difficult, and it doesn't matter if you travel by car, rail, bus, or by airplane.
Try to leave town early to avoid this weekend. If you have to drive over this weekend December 19-20, make sure your car is in good working order. If you have to fly, stay occupied at the gate, and don't pack your computer cord - keep it with you, as you may use up all your laptop's battery power by the time you finally board.
I find it very frustrating to be out of power when I board because I never sleep on planes, and I need to use the time well when I travel. I work so well on airplanes that at times I am sorry when the plane arrives early at my destination, especially when I fly across the country. You may be like me, so keep your computer cord with you if you have to fly on December 19-20. Check weather conditions, for those might ground you for a long while at this time.
Now we get to the truly heavenly part of the month. December's best aspects will fall on December 24 and December 25, as remarkable as that sounds! Yay!
On December 24, Venus will be in Scorpio, filling your house of communication and travel, and will be in direct touch with Jupiter in Virgo. (This day is the exact opposite of what you'd experience over the December 19-20 weekend.) If you do travel, it looks as though you would have a short drive, under 500 miles. You would have a happy, warm experience, too. It appears you might go to see your sibling on this day, Christmas Eve. If you do or do not celebrate Christmas, these two days will nevertheless dazzle and make you very happy. Give December 24 a gold star for travel and for love.
The full moon in Cancer, to light the most social part of your chart, will occur directly on December 25. You may go to a gathering with many family and friends in attendance, and have fun, watching everyone open presents, sip champagne, and sample the beautiful home cooked food and desserts spread out for the guests. A full moon in family-oriented Cancer seems ideal for December 25.
Neptune will be very friendly and prominent at this full moon, meaning that this day should bring a heavenly experience. Neptune will spread a veil over reality and remind you of all the parts of life that really matter to you. Neptune is about unconditional love, and on this day you will be very cognizant of the feelings you have for those you hold dear. You seem to be with many people, so this gathering should be very memorable.
If your birthday falls on August 25, plus or minus four days, you will benefit from the full moon in noticeable, wonderful way. If you have Virgo rising at 3 degrees, or a natal planet in Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn (all earth signs) or Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces (all water signs) at 3 degrees, plus or minus four degrees (including your rising sign, you will love this full moon.
New Year's Eve will be the icing on the cake. The transiting moon will be in Virgo, and lo and behold, Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, and planet of happiness, will conjoin the moon, for both will be in Virgo.

This is a once-in-twelve-year privilege, and so it will be a year when your dearest dreams can come true.
The spell you will be under at the end of December will continue into January, because four planets in Capricorn will brighten your house of true love at the new moon January 9. You have so much to look forward to, dear Virgo!

Your area of friendship, hopes, and wishes will be beautifully lit, ensuring a magical end of 2015. You appear to be surrounded with the warmth of friends, as well as with all who love you.
